The new school year is here, Jaguars! As we get ready for another great year at Central School, take a few minutes to review the Central School Student Handbook with your student.

The Student Handbook is a valuable resource for students and families. It provides important information about school procedures, expectations, routines, and day-to-day operations. We encourage families to review the handbook together and refer back to it throughout the school year.

🎉 THE FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL IS JUST AROUND THE CORNER! 🎉

We cannot wait to welcome our Jaguars back to Central School for another wonderful school year! 📓✏️🍎🐆

Here are a few important reminders for the first day of school:

📚 SCHEDULES
Student schedules are available in Focus. If you are unable to access Focus, please visit the Student Services Hallway or Cafeteria to locate your first-period teacher. First-period teachers will also have a printed copy of each student’s schedule.

🚗 CAR RIDER & ARRIVAL
• Student drop-off begins at 7:45 a.m.
• Classes begin at 8:10 a.m.
• Students must be dropped off and picked up in the designated car rider area. Please see the attached map for the car rider location.
• Our car rider line is designed to be double lane. Please be courteous and attentive to our car line monitors and SROs.
Please do not drop students off at the front of the school or gym area. These areas are reserved for Pre-K and staff.
• When entering campus from Allentown Road, the car rider line is to the left. The right-hand turn should be reserved for student drivers arriving at school.
• Additional student parking is now available from Central School Road.
• As a reminder, drivers should avoid using cell phones while driving.

🐾 ELEMENTARY CAR RIDER
Elementary students may be dropped off in the car rider line. Please make sure your Junior Jaguar is ready to go when you enter the car rider line.

🎫 Please have your assigned car rider tag clearly visible when pulling into the drop-off/pickup area.

All K–5 students must have an assigned car rider tag by the end of the week if car riding will be their regular mode of transportation.

We kindly ask that parents remain in their vehicles during drop-off. We will have all hands on deck to help our Junior Jaguars safely get where they need to go! ❤️🐆

👨‍👩‍👧 K–2 PARENT ACCESS ON THE FIRST DAY
K–2 parents will be allowed to walk their student to class on the first day.

• Parents must have a photo ID.
• We kindly ask that you spend no more than 5 minutes with your student so they can get settled and begin their day.

🅿️ STUDENT PARKING DECALS
Student parking decals will be available for pickup/purchase during High School Lunch. Students must complete a parking application before purchasing a 2026–2027 parking decal.

https://www.santarosaschools.org/o/cs/page/parking

🍎 BREAKFAST

As we prepare for the first day of school, we encourage all parents and guardians of bus riders to verify their student's bus route, stop location, and pickup and drop-off times. Families have five convenient options to access transportation information: through the MyRide K-12 App, MyRide K-12 Online with an account, MyRide K-12 Online without an account, the FOCUS Parent Portal, or by visiting the Transportation Table during Meet the Teacher or Supply Drop-Off events. For specific directions on how to use any of these options, please visit the Transportation page on our district website or view the information posted on our district Live Feed, Facebook, or Instagram accounts.

Thank you for helping us ensure a safe and successful start to the school year. We look forward to welcoming our students back on the first day of school, which is Monday, August 10.
